Welcome to the Eco Faith Website
Eco Faith is a programme of sustainability for all faith groups wishing to reduce their environmental impact and adopt a more sustainable way of living, working and worshipping. Eco Faith does this by providing faith groups with information and advice on how all individuals and groups can “do their bit” to help.
The programme is designed to help to enable you to reduce the environmental impact of your faith buildings and also the impact of members of your congregation on the environment. There are lots of things that individuals, community groups and businesses can do to help reduce our impact on the environment and slow down the effects of climate change.
This website is divided up into sections with each section providing some background information on a specific topic area or issue, the ways in which we can tackle that issue and where you can go to find more information. The sections have been designed for easy online reading, however if you wish to use the information as part of sermons, group work and for those providing or receiving pastoral care, we advise you download a copy of the parish pack from the resources section of the website (Hard copies also available on request, see contact details to find your local contact). You will notice that each section has “top tips” to provide parishioners with ideas on how they can make a difference within their own homes and daily activities – in many cases with simple and easy changes.
We do hope that you find this website useful and accessible. However, the Eco Faith programme aims to be a working programme that will evolve over time so if you do have any ideas or comments about the website, pack or the programme as a whole please do contact us using the details located in the contacts section.
Best wishes,
The Eco Faith Partners.
